I don’t have a card yet, or any money actually in it, but I do have one. Amazingly, Nationwide were unbelievably helpful and got me an appointment two hours after I enquired about getting an account. And yes, I had to sit through a meeting where everything was repeated about 500 times and I was reminded that when I am 75 I will have renew or something (very relevant now, thank you Mr Banker), but it was all done and activated in about 40 minutes.
So, now I feel a little bit more normal without that hanging over me all day. It only took a month to organise…
