Pack Up Your Troubles … And Go To Germany

I’ve been feeling really unsettled recently, and wanting to go home or go somewhere else or do something different and so my plans to travel could not have come at a better time.

I had been planning on going to Switzerland, but the travel arrangements and communication wasn’t going very well and since I’ve always wanted to go to Germany properly – and I have a friend who I went to school with living in Berlin I thought that I might as well take advantage of my British passport and go to Germany today! (Don’t get me wrong, I’m not made of money, I spent ages searching for the cheapest flights and my friend has amazingly agreed to host me for the 8 days that I’ll be there for.)

I’m really excited to go to Berlin, it’s quite an arty city, and also my visit coincides with the 25 years since the fall of the Berlin wall. (Well, technically the celebrations were this weekend, but it’s close enough!)

While I’m there (12th-20th) I might not be able to post anything so sorry in advance for the radio silence, but I’m sure there will be an overflow of posts when I get back! See you soon!

Yes! Germany is definitely one of my favorite countries. I even wrote about it on my blog at acleggabroad.wordpress.com

If you have time, try and get to Munich as well. It’s probably my favorite city in the world.

    Cheers,

    Alex
